Background and Education

Dr. Britt Vinson was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Growing up, he played football, basketball, and tennis. In pursuit of his childhood dream, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he majored in Biology. He graduated in 1991 and went on to attend UNC Chapel Hill’s School of Dentistry. While in dental school, he was active in The American Student Dental Association. After graduating from dental school in 1994, he furthered his post-dental school education by attending an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the prestigious Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Once he completed his education at Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic, he attended Temple University School of Orthodontics where he received his Master of Science in Dentistry in 1997.

Excellence in Orthodontics

As a board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Vinson took significant joy in seeing his patients and their families smile at Vinson Orthodontics, now known as Joy of Orthodontics. He used his extensive training and knowledge to bring the latest techniques to his practice, ensuring that he set the foundation for a community of healthier, happier smiles. Dr. Joy Gerasco is incredibly excited to continue Dr. Vinson’s legacy and standard of providing the best in care in Wake Forest and Clayton.

In Retirement

Now that he’s retired, Dr. Vinson can’t wait to spend time with his wife Tammy and their three children, help others in his community, and participate in his many hobbies! He enjoys running marathons, scuba diving, and participating in his children’s activities. He also loves boat building and wood carving, using his gifted talent for design.
